The Storm Ophelia in Normandy

The storm Ophelia coloured Normandy in yellow.

The sun  is coloured in red. Why is that?

It is sand in the air

Coming from the south, this hurricane before depression and former tropical storm carries very large quantities of sand coming from the Sahara. The sand from Sahara also covered all cars on the streets.

The first region in France affected by this phenomenon was Brittany, and in particular Morbihan. In the middle of the day, Normandy was impacted in turn.

At Coutances, the nebulosity is such that the lampposts have rekindled in the middle of the day.
